Abstract Art with Household Items

Description

Abstract art does not need special supplies, and a kitchen drawer or a recycling bin can supply much of what you need. These seven PDF lessons start with the basics of abstract art and how to find materials at home.

You then learn simple techniques for making marks with household objects, build a first abstract composition, and explore color and texture effects. The later lessons help you develop a personal style and finish with a complete artwork as a final project. Exercises in most lessons give you small experiments to try. After reading, you can plan and finish an abstract piece using everyday items.

Who it is for: beginners who want to try abstract painting without buying much equipment.
