Description

Inkscape is a free vector graphics editor, and this mini-course teaches its basics from the first screen. It begins with the interface and then covers basic shapes and objects.

You then learn the pen tool and path creation, work with colours, fills and strokes, and use the text tools for simple typography. Later lessons show how layers help keep a file organised, how to put together a first vector project, and how to export and save work. The eight PDF lessons include exercises, so you can practise each tool on a small drawing as you go and finish with a complete piece of work.
