Basic Calligraphy Practice

Description

Good calligraphy starts with control of a few simple strokes. These seven PDF lessons begin with choosing and handling your tools, then teach the basic strokes and show how pressure changes the line.

From there you form your first alphabet letters, join them into simple words, and work on even spacing and rhythm across a line. A first small project brings the skills together, and the final lesson suggests how to keep practising. Exercises appear in most lessons, so you can follow along on paper at your own pace. By the end you can write a short phrase with steady, even letters.

Who it is for: beginners who want to learn modern calligraphy from the first stroke to a finished piece.
