Description

User research replaces guesses about users with evidence, and this course covers the main methods in ten PDF lessons. After an introduction to the fundamentals, it explains how to plan a research strategy and run user interviews and other qualitative methods.

You then read about usability testing, quantitative research and data analysis, and how to synthesise findings with affinity mapping. Further lessons cover creating personas and journey maps, competitor analysis and presenting results so that colleagues act on them. The final lesson looks at building a research portfolio. The PDFs include exercises and several templates for planning and recording studies. After reading, you should be able to choose a suitable method for a question and report what you found.
